Lucas Ronat - Neuropsychologist, Post-doctoral fellow

Lucas is initially a psychologist specializing in neuropsychology, with a complementary background in emotional, cognitive and behavioral psychotherapies. He is currently working as a postdoctoral fellow in neuroscience at the PCAN laboratory based at the Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal. His work involves understanding the neurobiological mechanisms of pain anticipation and perception in Parkinson's disease with and without chronic pain, using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging. In parallel, Lucas is also involved in the co-supervision of PhD students and collaborates on other neuroimaging and neuropsychology projects (IUGM, Douglas Mental Health Institute, Umeå University [Sweden], Hôpital de la Timone [Marseille, France]), as well as in the popularization of mental health science within the Raptor Neuropsy association (France). Previously a neuropsychologist at various French university hospitals, Lucas brings a clinical perspective to the research he undertakes.
